“Assassination at the State House“
The Murder of Kentucky Governor William Goebel
Ron Elliott is an author from Bardstown, Kentucky and has written many books of historical fiction. He attributes his attention to detail and ability to follow the clues to his academic training in math and computer science. As a child, he heard the adults in his family talk about how his dad's Uncle Berry (Howard) was the man who killed Kentucky's would-be governor, William Goebel in 1900. As a fascinating story unfolded he decided that he had to tell the world the true story of the killing of William Goebel. The result, "Assassination at the State House."
