The Louisville Genealogical Society was established July 2, 1985, with the guidance of Jane Turner Hamm, Genealogical Advisor. The Society was organized as a non-profit 501(c)(3), educational organization, to promote and share genealogical research; provide educational programs: publish genealogical information; and encourage preservation of historic buildings, cemeteries, and public records.
