Louisville Genealogical Society
The Louisville Genealogical Society was established July 2, 1985, with the guidance of Jane Turner Hamm, Genealogical Advisor. The Society was organized as a non-profit 501(c)(3), educational organization. The Louisville Genealogical Society shall promote and share genealogical research; provide educational programs: publish genealogical information; and encourage preservation of historic buildings, cemeteries, and public records. Membership shall be open to anyone interested in the purposes of the Society.
All active members shall have all of the duties and privileges of membership including voting rights, a subscription to the Quarterly Journal of the Louisville Genealogical Society, Lines and By-Lines, and access to the Members Only section of the website.
Dues are based on the calendar year, January through December. Louisville Genealogical Society dues are only $20.00 for an individual and $25.00 for a family. All membership applications received after October 1st, will be applied to the following calendar year. Applications are accepted online or by mail.

We welcome your pedigree charts, family group sheets, and any information you have to share. Materials submitted will be placed in our library files.
